We partnered with the marketing team at OWN to conceptualize, design, animate and custom-code the visual brand identity for the weekend series under the Keep It Real umbrella of programming. The design was contemporized using a “Step & Repeat'' concept, coupled with an ombre-textured background and subtle animation style. Two distinct color palettes were chosen: a playful palette for Friday's flamboyant programming, and a more sophisticated one for Saturday’s relationship forward dramas.
The Essential Properties feature in After Effects allows custom coding, so any user can simply create text cards, endpages, lower thirds and more via dropdown menus and text boxes. All color palettes are automatically set once the show title is selected for guaranteed accuracy in all sizes. We were then brought on to build upon the package with a holiday-fied version and an elevated brand look to satisfy various marketing needs across the network.
